Colour (tag)

colour=<colour> declares whether an image is colour or black and white.

Here are the common values:

colour=colour
colour=b/w
colour=monochrome — a synonym for b/w

We might also use:

colour=sepia
colour=colour negative
colour=b/w negative
colour=red/green 3d
colour=red/blue 3d
colour=#xxxxxx/#xxxxxx 3d — so we can adjust the colour for each of the stereo pair
colour=infrared — with false colour

However 3D, infrared and other false-colour images would probably benefit from their own special tags, such as infrared (tag) and 3d (tag).

To please the Americans we could also allow color (tag).
