Elevation

Elevation is the number of degrees the camera is tilted upwards from the horizontal. A photo taken perfectly horizontally has elevation=0.

Google Earth uses the notion of 'tilt'. This is 0 when looking straight down and 90 when looking horizontally. Thus tilt=elevation+90.
