osm:node (tag)

From SnapMap

Jump to: navigation, search

osm:node = <osm node id> lets you assign a node from OpenStreetMap to an image. Since, in general, photos are not taken from OSM nodes, this tag implies the node is visible in the photo.

OSM nodes may be moved or deleted, so using this tag is not necessarily safe long-term.

The tag format is copied from that at Flickr, which also uses OSM node and way IDs. As with Flickr, the name tag on the OSM node is parsed; it is inserted into the SnapMap search tables.
